Maintaining safe and operationally efficient assets throughout their operational life-cycle is an ever present challenge for our industry. We take that challenge seriously and apply significant, dedicated effort to asset integrity management.Since the launch of KP4 by HSE, there has been renewed and increased focus on the specific management of asset ageing and approaches to field life extension. The HSE inspection programme and development of related technical guidance has been running in parallel with industry-led efforts to produce guidance and to develop a consistent and effective approach to asset ageing and life extension.

Step Change in Safety held an Elected Safety Representatives (ESR) Network Meeting on Wednesday 9th November. ESRs have recently been invited to be members of the Step Change Leadership Team and & it was anticipated that they would take a lead role in the running of this very important meeting. THIS EVENT IS FREE TO ATTEND The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced on 23 March 2011 that the supplementary charge on corporation tax would be increased from 20% to 32%, resulting in a tax rate on UK oil and gas production of between 62% and 81%. EEEGR along with Oil and Gas UK and Perenco will discuss the implications of the tax change on the UKCS and the discussions with Treasury to mitigate the effects.
