- Moving, flying or falling object
Contributing Factor
- Complacency
Description of Incident
An individual came across some old scaffold 'feet' which had corroded, come away from the scaffold tube and laying loose on grating near an air intake.
In high winds, the debris could have caused injury or damage to equipment.
The loose debris was removed and replaced in the metal waste skip.
Good Practice Guidance
Carry out regular checks on legacy scaffolding - the tubes in this location had been placed to hold back a ladder and most likely not on the register.
