COVID-19

Impact on Safety

COVID-19: While every member of the workforce, from the worksite to the boardroom, is immersed in the constantly evolving COVID-19 situation, it is the duty of Step Change in Safety to continue reinforcing the need for diligence in the pre-planning and execution of work activities offshore.

We continue to communicate with industry via a series of information bulletins which are published on our website and digital media channels. As part of our continued engagement strategy, these short broadcasts and information packs will focus on the Step Change in Safety’s 7Cs of safety:

  • Change Management
  • Communication
  • Control of Work
  • Competence
  • Complacency
  • Commitment
  • Culture

COVID-19: New posters and images (June 2021)

OGUK and Step Change in Safety have produced a series of posters and social media visuals to maximise COVID-19 safety offshore.

The series of graphics were designed to address the common findings from the industry’s recent COVID-19 outbreak investigation. It follows an announcement that the numbers of personnel working offshore has now returned to pre-COVID-19 reduction levels for the first time since the national lockdown of March 2020.
